Do you even lift?

Lash Noir founder, Rebecca Hutchinson, talks trends and treatments for lush lashes and brows

Lash Noir interiors

Brow and lash treatments have advanced hugely in quality, as well as popularity, over the past years. No longer are clumpy extensions, curlers or carved out brows the norm but a customised approach to a brow and lash enhancement has become expected. Artists are focusing on the facial anatomy of their clients as well as using mapping techniques to create incredible results to enhance what clients have, or what they lack, in the brow and lash department.

“For the first time ever, we are caring for our brows and lashes like we would our skin and hair”

With all of the incredible products available to dress your lashes and brows, versatility seems to be the goal when it comes to treatment outcomes - we’re loving seeing bare-faced minimal by day easily transform to glam by night without any permanence. Growth serums are further supersizing the results of these lifts, shapes and laminations, surpassing the popularity of lash extensions for the first time in a decade. Traditional lash perms have been erased in favour of “lifts” which are customised silicone forms that enhance the length and visibility of your natural lashes without any need for mascara, curlers or extensions. The solutions used to set this new shape in place are jam-packed with nourishing ingredients for the natural lashes, resulting in long-lasting, glossy, lifted eyelashes for weeks to come. The same solutions can be applied to brows to create a structure to the hair formation most commonly known as “the fluffy” brow. We love to see laminations with curvature to the structure for a pared-back clean look rather than the vertical fork in socket effect.

For the first time ever, we are caring for our brows and lashes like we would our skin and hair. From professional prep products to care for the skin on the area, growth serums to enhance what we have naturally, followed by take-home aftercare products to lengthen, thicken, and gloss the lash and brow hair. Lifts and laminations can benefit every client and we believe they are well and truly here to stay through all seasons.
