“I wanted to challenge myself with the hair skills I had to learn to express my vision,” says Parker Attwood, who won AHIA Australian Hairdresser of the Year 2022 with her ‘King’ collection. “Through the process of creating this collection, I wasn’t concerned what others would think and didn’t put my energy into following trends. I wanted to create a unique expression of my skills.” The collection is a triumph of intricate cuts, colours and styles, irregular shapes, unique techniques and memorable features. The looks flit between a braided floral style pattern, vivid pom poms, a bright rainbow cut with disconnected details, a backcombed sky-high mountain of hair and so much more. Makeup and fashion styling was made equally vibrant, pulling the viewer into the sensorial group of images.
